About Our ministry & Staff
The staff at Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation includes professional ministers, a director of lifespan religious exploration and faith development, a congregational and communications administrator, music director, choir director and accompanist, nursery teacher, and bookkeeper. Our staff is supported by numerous volunteers throughout the congregational framework.
interim Ministers
Rev. Kimberley Debus, lead worship minister
Rev. Kimberley Debus is a community minister now based in the Washington DC Metro area, where she works throughout the denomination to inspire Unitarian Universalists to be more artful and art-filled in worship, congregational life, and meaning making.
Ordained in May 2017, Kimberley’s ministry has a far reach, teaching and preaching across the denomination as well as offering sabbatical coverage, much as she did for CUUC in 2019-2020. She has previously served One Island Family UU Congregation in Key West, Florida, and the First Universalist Church of Southold, New York. She also serves as chair of the UUA’s Appointments Committee and as a facilitator and curriculum writer for the UUA’s Leader Institute and UU Wellspring Spiritual Deepening Program.
Kimberley was raised by Unitarian parents and returned to Unitarian Universalism in the 1990s during her years as an activist in North Carolina’s LGBTQ community. As both lay leader and minister, she has presented workshops and retreats on generational theory, the worship arts, stewardship, and, more recently, multiplatform worship and hymnody. She has been known to burst out in song (particularly show tunes and standards); will wax poetic about UU history and hymnody, British panel shows, mysteries, and The West Wing. Her home now includes three delightful tabby cats named Jed, Huck, and Molly.
At the heart of Kimberley’s ministry is a call to foster creative, collaborative, and spiritually grounded approaches to the challenges and blessings of our faith, which inspire all of us to draw the circle of love ever wider. You may contact Rev. Kimberly at kdebus@uuma.org.
Rev. Paul Langston-Daley, Assistant worship minister
Rev. Paul Langston-Daley is a graduate of Andover Newton and the International Institute for Restorative Practices. Paul has served congregations in NY, CA, PA, and AZ and is pleased to be back in the northeast, closer to family. He has been serving the First Parish in Concord, MA part time as their Minister for Social Action since 2021.
Paul is also trained in community organizing and brings these skills to his ministry and his work in the association. He offers Restorative Circles for congregations in conflict and has helped leadership respond more effectively to difficult situations. Rev. Langston-Daley has also helped to deepen relationships and shift the culture within congregations.
He served in numerous positions over the years in UUMA chapters and on UUA committees. Currently, Rev. Paul is serving on the Ministerial Fellowship Committee. Paul lives in New Bedford with his two cats Odin and Loki. He has an adult son who lives nearby.
Director of Lifespan Religious Education and Faith Development
Tracy Breneman, M.A., M.S.
Tracy Breneman joined the CUUC community in July 2019 as our Director of Lifespan Religious Exploration and Faith Development. Faith community holds a central place in Tracy’s life. As the daughter of a United Methodist minister, she grew up witnessing the work of nurturing intentional community and appreciating the richness of relationships that bloom as a result. She has been a UU Religious Educator for over fifteen years, serving all five Westchester County UU congregations and twice serving two congregations simultaneously. Tracy embraces the call to live into the shared values of our faith and lean into ongoing learning. Her spiritual practice is grounded in justice making, especially related to racial equity and LGBTPQ+ rights, and pottery.
She has held leadership roles through the Liberal Religious Educators Association (LREDA) Metro NY Chapter as well as Continental LREDA, the Fahs Collaborative Laboratory for Innovations in Faith Formation at the Meadville Lombard Theological School, the Unitarian Universalist Association, and among Westchester UUs. Tracy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Universidade de Brasília, Brasil, and a Master’s degree (Ph.D. candidate) in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from George Mason University. She has over twenty-five years of experience as an educator that includes teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in conflict transformation at George Mason University, Columbia University, and in the Dispute Resolution Program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, CUNY. She has also designed and led numerous conflict transformation workshops. She brings these tools and skills into the service of her colleagues as a Good Officer for Continental LREDA and in congregational life. Tracy is currently enrolled at The Chaplaincy Institute, an interfaith seminary. She and her partner, J.R., live in Poughkeepsie with their dogs, Ozzy and Jett. Her two sons, Aiden and Logan, are in college.

Pastoral Care Minister
Rev. Deb Morra
Rev. Deb Morra is a native and lifelong resident of Westchester County, who became a member of CUUC in early 1997 while in seminary. Rev. Deb obtained a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in 1999 and MSW from NYU Ehrenkranz School of Social Work in 2000. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NY and CT. Rev. Deb was ordained to the Unitarian Universalist Ministry by CUUC on 6/1/2003, and has been affiliated with the Congregation as a Community Minister since then. Throughout her career, Rev. Deb has worked with underserved and disadvantaged populations in NYC and Westchester in her chosen ministries of outpatient mental health and chaplaincy.
As a clinician, Rev. Deb has extensive background in behavioral health treatment, with specialties in trauma, mindfulness, recovery, adult children of dysfunctional families and chronic mental illness. As a chaplain, Rev. Deb has a background in medical pastoral care, particularly in end-of-life care.
More recently, Rev. Deb worked in the field of medical social work, in palliative care and as a Care Manager for Medicaid Managed Long Term Care plan members. As of 2023, Rev. Deb is returning to her chosen ministry of outpatient behavioral health within a private practice.

Pamela Parker
Pam Parker joined CUUC as our administrator in the spring of 2016. She reports to the ministers and works closely with other staff and the congregation. She also creates our weekly email newsletter, the e-Communitarian.

Music Director
Adam Kent
Adam Kent has been the Music Director at Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation since 1990. Recently appointed to the music faculty of State University of New York at Oneonta, Adam has performed piano in recital, as soloist with orchestra, and in chamber music throughout the United States, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Latin America. A winner of the American Pianists Association Fellowship and Simone Belsky Music Awards, Dr. Kent also received top prizes in the Thomas Richner, the Juilliard Concerto, and the Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Competitions, and is a recipient of the Arthur Rubinstein Prize and the Harold Bauer Award. Choir Director
Lisa N. Meyer
Lisa N. Meyer has been our Choir Director at CUUC since 2001. She assisted in the creation of the Music at CUUC concert series, which features several concerts per season including two performances by the CUUC Choir. Ms. Meyer has been an active professional musician in the Metropolitan Area for many years, appearing as a soloist, conductor, choral singer, and teacher. She was formerly the Production Coordinator for the Department of Music at C. W. Post Campus of Long Island University, and was also an adjunct professor in Arts Management there.

Choir Accompanist
Georgianna Pappas
Born and raised in the NY Metro area, Georgianna has been playing piano since the age of 5, and gave her first solo recital at 14. She was educated at the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory Division and Hunter College in NYC, graduating with a BA in Music. Georgianna has worked and performed in opera rehearsals, chamber music and art song concerts, improvisational concerts, and has accompanied singers in cabaret settings. She wrote and performed songs for an original musical theater piece Hot Flashes.

Nursery Care Teacher
Diane Keller
Diane has been the head teacher at CUUC since 1990. She has enjoyed welcoming the youngest members of the congregation and their families. It has been a joy watching the children grow through the years and then return with their own children. Diane taught first grade and kindergarten in Mount Vernon for thirty years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education and continues her teaching as a reading consultant for BOCES with homeless children at the Coachman Family Center in White Plains. She has a grown daughter and two grown sons and eight grandchildren. She resides in Mount Vernon with her husband. You can contact Diane at dakmv@aol.com.
Congregation Bookkeeper
Jessica Garcia
Jessica joined CUUC in September 2021. She is a part-time employee who reports to the ministers and works closely with the administrator and the Board treasurer.
